The Maronite Youth Organization (MYO) of St. Sharbel is comprised of two groups. The “Crossroads” group consists of youth between the ages of 12 and 16. And The “Maronteens” consists of youth between the age of 16 and 20 (age exceptions may be considered for either group). Both groups meet on the 2nd and 4th Friday’s each month at the Church from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and also on other occasions for social and spiritual events as determined. Typical meetings consist of Praise and Worship music, sacred scripture discussion, games, fun and food. Please contact Mark Kortbaoui or Karen Waldron if you have any interest, questions or ideas. All youth are encouraged to participate, learn and enjoy the fellowship of the church.
The Maronite Young Adults (MYA) meets regularly throughout the year, usually twice a month. The general format involves the reading and discussion of a book, as well as time for socializing and fellowship. For more information about meeting times, meeting place, or other questions, please contact Claude and Gennifer Karam. The MYA is a group of young men and women ages of 20 and up. (We can make some exceptions if they are little younger but ready). The goal and purpose of MYA , on the national and local level, is to assist young adults to come to a greater appreciation/involvement with his/her faith. In short, we hope to become a bold presence in the Church and in the world.
